Rsync packages

Status: obsolete; 2006-2008 (supersedes any conflicting remarks left on this page; see the home page for definitions)

Below are rsync packages of various kinds:

• Copies of the official source packages and their GPG signatures.
• Source and i386 RPMs that I built from the official source using a modified version of the Fedora spec file.  Unlike the Fedora rsync packages, my packages do not use the acls.diff and xattrs.diff patches for ACL/xattr compatibility with patched pre-3.0.0 rsyncs.  Prerelease RPMs, when there are any, will use the Fedora convention for pre-release versioning

I eventually intend to offer packages of rsync with various combinations of maintained patches to convenience people who need those patches.

Note!! All of the versions here older than rsync 3.0.2 have at least one security vulnerability, and I decided it wasn't worth the hassle to offer patched older versions, so I have removed them.  Just use rsync 3.0.2 or newer.

The RPMs are also available through my site's Yum/createrepo repository (but be careful, the repository contains some other stuff that you may or may not want).  Here's the source snippet:
