Found old patch on google, and updated it for 2.5.4 (I know, but that's what
apt-get source gave me).

Compiles, otherwise untested.

[Updated for current CVS version by Wayne Davison.  Passes *MOST* of the
test suite, but otherwise UNTESTED.]
